10^th AGRESCO of Basic Science sub committee and 9^th AGRESCO of Horticulture & Forestry sub committee  inaugurated by Dr. A.M. Parakhia, DEE at Conference Hall of College of Agriculture, JAU, Junagadh at 9:30 of February 19,2014. Dr. C.K. Mandavia, Professor, Botany and Dr. Delvadia, Professor, Horticulture presented Action Taken Report. Scientists interacted and participated in feedback. Dr. A.V. Barad, Principal & Dean, College of Agriculture, in his remarks suggested to keep VISION- 2030 in mind while preparing technical programmes.

Dr. I.U. Dhruj, Asso. Director of Research informed the house about highest production of coriander in Saurashtra region. He emphasised on the need to investigate pesticide residues in spice crops.

Dr. A.M. Parakhia, Director of Extension Education, JAU and President of session said to be leader rather than follower in research. He also said to be prepared to combat adverse effect of climate change particularly on physiological behaviours of horticultural crops. The need to breed varieties suitable for processing and value addition was emphasized by Dr. Parakhia. The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Delvadia.
