This was the 12th training on "BRACKISH-WATER SHRIMP FARMING MANAGEMENT” from 27th to 31th  August 2018 organized by Fisheries Research & Training Centre, J.A.U., Mahuva.

     During the the advertisement in 1st August 2018 newspaper like Sandesh and Gujarat Samachar, we had clearly mentioned for selection of forty participant and last date for application for receiving was 4th August 2018, we have reached almost 172 application in three days. In this training program, we selected first 50 participant that came from various part of our Saurashtra (Gujarat state). the valedictory function of training was organized on 31th August 2018, in the presence of Dr. G. S. Vala (Research Scientist (F.C) & HOD),  Dr. S. W. Sawarkar (Assoc. Prof), Prof. V. C. Dodia (Asstt. Res. Sci.) and In-charge of this Fisheries Centre Prof. A.S. Kotiya (Asstt. Research Scientist), FRTC, JAU., Mahuva.

     The participant presented their feedback and said that by this training, we could know, that, there is lot of matter to be still needed to do the live animal farming and so they suggested that the training should be ten to fifteen days and they got of knowledge for shrimp farming and be beneficial for venturing into shrimp farming business, and this was unique shrimp training program were we got lot of scientific fisheries  know-how to be taken care off during shrimp farming.

    This centre has almost certified total 520 from the total around 38 to 42 participants are doing their own shrimp farming either in Partnership base, their own or working in others shrimp farming pond.

    The participant were awarded with certificate by dignitaries, The whole training program was co-ordinated by Prof. A,S, Kotiya (ARS) FRTC, JAU., Mahuva.
