Veterinary Clinical Camp organized at Vavdi- Rajkot on November 09, 2014
A special Veterinary Clinical Camp was organized in connection with the celebration of “Krushi Vikas Varsh 2014-15”, by College of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry, Junagadh Agricultural University, Junagadh in collaboration with Shree Karuna Foundation Trust Animal Helpline, Rajkot on 9th November, 2014 at Rajkot. Dr. A. M. Parakhiya, Director of Extension Education, Junagadh Agricultural University, Junagadh and Dr. P. H. Tank, Principal & Dean, College of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry, Junagadh Agricultural University, Junagadh were present on the occasion and graced the function. Nine staff members, Dr. J. S. Patel, Dr. A.M. Patel, Dr. J. V. Vadaliya, Dr. K.B. Vala, Dr. Joice P Joseph, Dr. R. J. Raval, Dr. B.R. Mathpati, Dr. D.T. Fefer and Dr. V. A. Kalariya along with ten graduate and postgraduate students from clinical departments were actively involved in the clinical camp. Pet animals and three large animals from Vavdi -Rajkot and surrounding villages were brought for the treatment in the camp. During the camp, seventy four (74) small animals and three (3) large animals were treated for different medical, surgical and gynaecological ailments. In the camp different clinical cases were treated such as forty seven (47) Medicine, twenty nine (29) Surgery, one (01) Gynaecology and twenty five (25) vaccination. A total of one hundred two owners (102) were direct beneficiaries of the camp. Different species of small animals of Vavdi -Rajkot and surrounding villages got specialized treatment from the expert staff members of the College. While returning from Rajkot to Junagadh, visited aviary Farm, Mavdi which is nearby Rajkot and BAPS Gaushala (Where five cases of large animals were treated) at Gondal.
