In online programme organized by Education Department, Govt. of Gujarat,  JAU has been awarded GSIRF 5star rating University by Hon'ble Governorshri of the Gujarat state Sh. Devvrat Acharya ji in presence of Honb'le Minister of Education Sh. Bhupendrasinhji  Chudasama,  State Education Minister, ACS and officials of Education Department, Govt. of Gujarat, all VC and Registrar of various universities of the state JAU is listed among top 5 universities of the Gujarat state along with  GU, PDPU, NIRMA and CEPT. It is also the only Agricultural University from the state to get GSIRF 5 star rating.
